Tips
for Success
Consider
the following tips to help you get the most
out of this online course:
- Read
the "How to Navigate" information
(available on the "Tools"
page) to familiarize yourself with how this
course is structured. Understanding the different
sections included in this course will help
you know where to go to get the information
you want.
- Take
this course with a friend or colleague, and
then share your discoveries and insights.
- Complete
the "Workshop" to find out
more about your personal stressors before
going to the "Strategies"
section.
- There
are many places in the "Workshop"
where you are asked to respond. Clicking
"next" registers your response.
Clicking "back" before you click
"next" erases your response. Once
your response is registered, you may go back
to edit it at any time.
- Begin
the "Strategies" section
by reading strategies that relate to your
top five stressors, then explore strategies
that address other areas of your life.
- Please
be aware that many strategies are interrelated.
Refer to the suggested links in each section
to get more information.
- Don't
try to do too many strategy ideas at once.
Choose no more than one or two ideas from
any one strategy at a time, and do them for
a while before trying out additional ideas.
Attempting to change too many areas of your
life at once may cause additional stress.
Incremental changes are often the most long-lasting.
- Print
your Action Plan so that you can refer to
it regularly. (You may find information about
how to print in "How to Navigate"
located on the "Tools"
page.)
- Print
the "Survival Kit" and keep
it posted where you will see it every day.
- Use
each strategy idea as a starting point; modify
and personalize it to suit your specific needs.
- There
are many resources available to you through
Wellbeing Lifestyles. Click on "Resources"
on the "Tools" page to get
additional information.
